New retrospective album GRAVITY IS JUST A WAY TO FALL out NOW!

Riding the seismic waves of the first British Invasion, ‘70s power-pop, ‘80s post-punk, and ‘90s indie, Smug Brothers continue to fly the flag for guitar-centric rock n’ roll into the 21st century. Now with 20 years spent in the wilds of 21st-century indie rock, the band has connected with listeners worldwide over the course of 12 albums, 7 EPs, and 9 singles, keeping one foot firmly in its roots while expertly expanding the band’s sonic range into the future. Led by songwriter Kyle Melton and longtime drummer Don Thrasher [ex-Swearing At Motorists/Guided By Voices], and joined by bassist Kyle Sowash and guitarist Ryan Shaffer, Smug Brothers will release the retrospective album “Gravity Is Just A Way To Fall” on vinyl via Best Brother Records and Anyway Records—as well as a longer CD version on their own Gas Daddy Go! imprint—on May 15, 2026.
